Click on thumbnail to view full image Dreamscape Commissioned by Norwich City Council 2002 Dreamscape is still to this day one of the most creative projects we have done. This project involved working with children from Bignold Middle School for two weeks to create visual material and creative ideas which Theatre of Adventure then used to create an ensemble of characters and costumes. An installation was created in a woodland park and filled it with magical stuff – projection labyrinths of the children’s drawings and paintings, an elastic web entrance, a UV area and a horizontal dream catcher through which the audience moved. The 5 characters - or Creatures of Light and Darkness – are based on children’s drawings and strange dream ideas. These strange, secret, dreamlike creatures work best at night when installed in an environment with the audience wondering around and encountering them.
